Now I am back with a Diwali blast.On today's post I am going to show you how to enable 2-step verification for your Google Account to make it more safe and secure.I think many of our users know this but some of them don't know this trick.That's why I am writing this post.
So lets begin,
- Sign in to your Google Account first from http://plus.google.com
- After Signing in , go to your Google Account settings page by clicking on your name or picture in the upper right corner of the screen and then clicking Account
- Now click on Security tab at the top
- At the Password box,click Setup right next to 2-Step Verification
- You will be taken to the 2-Step Verification page. Click on Start setup
- Now add your phone no. if have not already added and select a method for getting codes ie. SMS or Voice Call and click on Send code.
- After that enter the verification on the box you received on your phone and click Verify
- Now you will see the following screen.Ok if you are using your own PC you can check the box left to the Trust this computer.But if you are on a Cyber Cafe or using a friend's PC do not check the box.Now click on Next.
- Now click on Confirm and you have successfully enabled 2-Step Verification for your Google Account.Next time you sign in, you’ll receive an SMS or a Voice Call with a verification code. For proof you can see the below screenshot.
